This policy applies to Anchor Risk Management Pty Ltd (ACN 699 131 550) (“Anchor Risk”, “we”, “us”), an Australian workplace injury management and workers’ compensation advisory business, and to this website.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@anchorrisk.com.au.

We collect only the information we need to respond to enquiries and deliver advisory services. Through this website, that is limited to what you choose to submit in the enquiry form:

• your name, work email address, organisation and role
• the primary workers’ compensation jurisdiction you operate in
• the description of the matter you provide in the enquiry field
• limited technical information collected automatically with your submission: a one-way hashed form of your IP address, your browser user agent and the time of submission, used for spam prevention and security

Please do not submit medical certificates, clinical records, claim files or information that identifies an injured worker through this website. The enquiry form is not designed for, and should not be used to transmit, health or other sensitive information.

If sensitive or health information is submitted through the form despite this request, we will not use it for any purpose other than responding to your enquiry, and we will delete it from the enquiry record once the enquiry is resolved.

We use the information you provide to:

• respond to your enquiry and arrange an initial conversation
• assess whether we are able to assist and scope proposed services
• provide advisory services under an agreed engagement
• maintain business records and meet legal or professional obligations
• protect the website against spam, misuse and security threats

Information submitted through the enquiry form is used to respond to that enquiry. We do not add website enquirers to a marketing list, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.

Where an engagement requires us to review injury, medical or claim-related information, that information is provided under the terms of the engagement, is handled only for the purposes agreed with the client, and is collected with consent or as otherwise permitted by law. It is not collected through this website.

We may disclose personal information to insurers, scheme agents, legal advisers or other service providers where this is necessary for an agreed engagement and where you or the relevant individual would reasonably expect it, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law.

Our website and enquiry records are hosted on cloud infrastructure operated by reputable providers. Some of these providers may store or process data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Enquiry submissions are stored in an access-controlled database that is not readable from this website or by the public. Access is restricted to Anchor Risk personnel who need it to respond to enquiries.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Enquiry records are retained only for as long as needed for the enquiry and our business records, and are then deleted or de-identified. Engagement records are retained for the period required by our professional and legal obligations.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing info@anchorrisk.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period and will verify your identity before acting on a request. In limited circumstances permitted by law we may decline a request, and we will explain why if we do.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us at info@anchorrisk.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Any cookies set are strictly necessary for the site to function and for basic security. Our hosting provider records standard server logs for reliability and security purposes.
