For Victorian employers

WorkCover and workplace injury management advice for Victorian employers

Anchor Risk helps Victorian employers respond early to workplace injuries, work through stalled or complex WorkCover claims and improve how injury management operates across the organisation. We work alongside HR, safety, operational and leadership teams to clarify what is happening, what the employer can influence and what needs to happen next.

When Victorian employers contact us

A workplace injury has just been reported

The initial response is unclear, suitable work needs to be considered or managers are uncertain about responsibilities and next steps.

A WorkCover claim has stalled or become difficult

Progress has slowed, information conflicts, responsibilities are unclear or the employer no longer has a practical plan for moving the claim forward.

Injury management varies across the organisation

Different sites or managers follow different approaches, leadership has limited visibility or the process depends too heavily on one experienced person.

Three ways we support Victorian employers

Early Claim Control

Practical support after a newly reported workplace injury, including an early risk check, suitable-work review, clear responsibilities and agreed review points.

Complex Claim Reset

An independent review of a stalled, disputed or long-running claim, identifying what is holding it back, what the employer can still influence and the priority actions for the next 90 days.

Practical support within the Victorian WorkCover environment

A Victorian WorkCover claim can involve the employer, worker, treating practitioners, the WorkSafe agent and internal workplace stakeholders. Anchor Risk helps the employer bring the available information together, identify the issues requiring attention and coordinate a practical response.

  • Early response after an injury is reported
  • Certified capacity and suitable-work considerations
  • Return-to-work planning and review points
  • Communication and action tracking
  • Stalled and long-duration claim barriers
  • Roles, escalation and reporting across the organisation

Anchor Risk provides employer-side injury and claims advisory services. We do not replace the WorkSafe agent, treating practitioner or legal adviser, and we do not make claim-entitlement or medical decisions.

What an engagement gives you

  • A clearer picture of what has happened
  • The issues requiring priority attention
  • A distinction between what the employer can and cannot influence
  • Practical actions with named owners and review dates
  • Documentation that can be used by the people managing the injury or claim

Common questions

Does Anchor Risk replace our WorkSafe agent?

No. We provide independent employer-side advice and work alongside the existing claims and workplace stakeholders. The scope and responsibilities are agreed before an engagement begins.

Can you help before a claim becomes complex?

Yes. Early Claim Control is designed for newly reported workplace injuries where the employer wants a clear and consistent response from the beginning.

Do you provide legal or medical advice?

No. We provide workplace injury management and claims advisory services. Legal, medical and claim-entitlement decisions remain with the appropriately qualified or authorised parties.

Can you guarantee a claim outcome or premium reduction?

No. Claim outcomes and premiums are affected by factors outside an employer’s control. We identify the practical actions and cost drivers the employer may be able to influence without promising a particular result.
